After Shimano lifted the curtain a few weeks ago and the 11-speed "Ultegra 6800" presented to the public, it seemed only a matter of time before the Japanese would present the electronic version. Today, matching the start of the Tour de France in Corsica, the time had come.
The "Ultegra 6870 Di2" replaces the "Ultegra 6770 Di2" and will like the mechanical "Ultegra 6800" have 11 sprockets on the cassette. Prices for the respective components are not yet fixed, but the weights, which we have listed at the end of the article, are.

The levers of "Ultegra 6870 Di2" have the same advantages as those of the "Dura Ace 9070 Di2" are known from. They are narrow but have a good grip and give a very direct shift feel. The dimensions of the new rear derailleur are the same as those of the more expensive ones "Dura Ace 9070 Di2" and is therefore a lot more compact than the previous model.
